Is it worth it? Advocates discuss the state of Austin’s incentive program

Economic incentive programs. Want to get a lively debate started in Austin?  Just toss out those three words. Today’s Austin Business Journal explores one side of the debate, asking key stakeholders in the Austin community to address the program’s value.  Tom Blair, Imagecraft’s CEO and member of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce’s Transportation Committee, is one of those stakeholders. Blair says that the “incentives are performance-based and reflect a fair return for the city. If companies are canceling them it means they are too stringent or cumbersome, not attainable, or do not provide an ROI.” So are the incentive programs good for Austin?
